49ers schedule 2018: Jimmy Garoppolo will keep winning in San Francisco

The Ole Miss athletic department told the NCAA earlier this month it didn’t support Patterson’s original request because officials believed the basis of his claim — that former coach Hugh Freeze persuaded him and others to stay at Ole Miss last year by lying about the scope and potential punishment of the NCAA’s investigation into the program — was untrue. Those claims weren’t included in the new waiver request submitted this week.

The purpose of this weekly blog entry is to identify undervalued players who could potentially be available in your league(s), so without further ado, let’s get to it! Players rostered in more than half of ESPN’s standard leagues are not eligible for inclusion on this list.

Font was 0-2 with an 11.32 ERA in six relief appearances for the Dodgers before he was designated for assignment on Monday. He pitched 10 1/3 innings and was tagged for five home runs, tied for the most among big league relievers.

The 27-year-old Font has pitched 14 games over parts of four seasons with Texas and the Dodgers.

The 23-year-old Salow was 2-0 with a 1.59 ERA in four relief appearances for Class A Beloit. He was a sixth-round draft pick in 2017 by the A’s.

Detroit’s Michael Fulmer struck out nine in six innings while giving up four hits.

Hurdle was ejected in the bottom of the eighth inning by crew chief Mike Winters after Frazier was ruled out for leaving the basepath while attempting to advance from second to third on Starling Marte’s two-out grounder to third baseman Niko Goodrum. Winters called Frazier out from behind the play after he eluded the tag. “I didn’t like the call,” Hurdle said. “He said he was all over it and I just don’t think he was all over it. He’s the ump. He made the call.”
